When the consignor authorises pelle to sell on consignment, consignor agrees with our terms and conditions.
Consignment terms and conditions
- It is essential to produce proof of purchase/authenticity for all high end labels such as Lois Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Chanel. If a receipt is not available anymore a bank statement can be used. The law is getting tougher and gradually all major houses are no longer giving clients the service to authenticate goods bought on e bay or were given as a gift, without prove of purchase at the appropriate stores. Vuitton's slogan is: If it has been bought at Lois Vuitton it is real.
- It is a prerequisite that all items intended for consignment are clean when presented, they will command a better price and make the vendor happy.
- If specific repairs are essential to place items into a saleable state, pre sale cost shall be paid by the consignor.
- Goods are taken on a seasonal basis.
- The selling price is established between vendor and seller. The condition determines the price. The price is established by age, style, desirability, rarity and original cost.
- The consignment period is two month, unless otherwise stated.
- The consignor will receive 50% of the agreed sale price.
- Each item offered at the agreed sale price attracts GST.
- If an item is not sold in the first 6 weeks, unless otherwise stated, it may be reduced by up to 30% for the remaining 2 weeks.
- Any items unsold after consignment period expired, must be collected by consignor within 10 days. It is the consignors responsibility to organise suitable pick up arrangments.
- Expired and uncollected items are donated to a recognised charity and pelle will have no further obligations to consignor in relation to it.
- Items placed on consignment may be used for advertising/promotional purposes.
- Statements and payment are rendered monthly on or around the 10th of the following month.
